Position Overview:We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our team at KNZ Solutions. This internship offers a valuable opportunity for students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of accounting while contributing to meaningful projects and initiatives.

Location: Vienna, VA (Full-time, Onsite)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment processing, and reconciliations.
• Support the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analysis.
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis and reporting.
• Support internal and external audit processes by preparing documentation and providing assistance as needed.
• Assist with tax compliance activities, including sales tax filings and income tax provision calculations.
• Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as assigned by the accounting team.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay Transparency:

KNZ Solutions is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents the base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, KNZ Solutions utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.

Base Salary Range:

Starting at $15 USD per hour
